Are you passionate about numbers, financial systems, and making a significant impact on an organization's fiscal health? We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in our financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You will work closely with our financial team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage all financial records, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Work closely with the financial team to create monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, as well as conducting periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
- Process accounts receivable and payable, follow up on billing and collection issues, resolve customer queries.
- Prepare and process payroll functions.
- Assist in the budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts.
- Conduct thorough reviews of potential financial discrepancies.
- Perform financial analysis, as needed, and advise management on profit-maximizing ideas.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
- Perform audits of financial activities to ensure compliance with company and industry regulations.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns and ensure timely submission.
- Manage data entry tasks and ensure the accuracy of financial documents.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of proven bookkeeping experience in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of financial and management accounting, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger functions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and account reconciliation.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
- Outstanding mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent data entry skills and experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
