About the Role:

Venture University is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Endowment Development and Strategic Fundraising to lead the creation and execution of a global endowment strategy. This individual will play a critical role in securing funds for VU’s endowment and may also support capital-raising initiatives for our venture capital fund.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to establish and grow Venture University’s endowment.
• Identify, cultivate, and build relationships with potential donors, including HNW individuals, family offices, corporations, and institutional investors globally.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to define funding priorities and create compelling cases for support.
• Manage the endowment fundraising process, including outreach, donor meetings, proposal development, and closing gifts.
• Raise additional capital for VU's venture capital fund as needed.
• Monitor fundraising metrics, provide regular progress updates, and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and ethical fundraising practices.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in endowment fundraising or capital raising, with a demonstrated track record of securing significant contributions from global donors.

- Strong network of existing relationships with potential donors, investors, and endowment funding sources.

- Proven ability to develop and execute successful fundraising strategies for endowments and/or funds.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling vision and build meaningful relationships.

- Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.

- Experience in the venture capital or education sector is a plus.

Compensation:

- Competitive base salary.

- Additional performance-based compensation tied to successful capital-raising milestones.
