OUTPATIENT CLINICAL OFFICE COORDINATOR

Full-Time 

The Oupatient Clinical Office Coordinator responsibilities include, but re not limited to:  overseeing the SBHS Outpatient Clinic across all areas including clinical and financial, coordination of care for patients within the Outpatient Service, supervising Outpatient Service including intake, therapy, psychiatry, and support staff, ensuring patients receive quaity care in an effective and timely manner, participates in Performance Improvement Projects to enhance quality of care provided, manages and directs the activities of support staff involved in billing, collection, financial counseling, and data processing., implementation of policies and procedures, implementation and monitoring of performance goals and objectives, ensuring accurate capturing and updating of relevant patient demographic and insurance data to support correct and timely billing, maintenance of good interdepartmental communication, managing flow of outpatient intake, hiring, training, and development of clerical office staff, clinical therapists, and student interns.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Degree from an approved practical nursing education program is required.  A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric/mental health field is preferred.  Minimum of one (1) year experience with accounting systems, credit and collections, third party reimbursement systems REQUIRED.  Minimum of two (2) years' supervisory experience REQUIRED. Valid illinois Driver's License PREFERRED

License:  Current LPN license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing is required.  Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations
