Job Title : Product Owner

Job Type : Contract-to-Hire (Eligible to Convert at 6 Months)

Location : Hybrid - Cincinnati, OH (3 Days On-Site/Week in the Oakley area)

Our client is a rapidly growing retail company committed to providing exceptional products and services to its customers across the nation. As part of their continued growth, they are modernizing their product offerings and adopting agile methodologies to stay ahead in the competitive retail landscape. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Product Owner to join this close-knit team and help drive the product vision forward. You will play a critical role in our agile development process, working closely with software teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs. You will be responsible for defining product features, prioritizing the product backlog, and ensuring that the development team understands the product goals and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into detailed product requirements.
• Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the development team and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Clearly communicate the product vision and goals to the development team.
• Ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Continuously monitor product progress and adjust priorities as needed based on feedback and market changes.
• Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure the product meets business needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor products to inform product decisions.

Qualifications :

• 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working with agile software development teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
