• Schedule:
• April 21,22,23,24 7a-3p + night beeper call
• June 23-27 7a-3p + week night beeper call
• July 2-July 4 7a-3 + week night beeper call
• July 5,6 24 hour beeper call
• July 7 7a-3 + week night beeper call
• Will need one day for orientation.
• Work Details:
• Support Staff: Surgeon
• Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 4 days, 7a-3p plus call 3p-7p
• Patients per day: 10-15 CVICU/step down patients, plus 1-2 surgeries
• Patient Population/Age: adult/geron
• Department Description: CT Surgery
• EMR: Cerner
• Hospital Bed size: 199
• Special Procedures: temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, Aline placement
• Skills Required: recent cardiothoracic surgery, proficient with EVH
• Practice Setting: Hospital

Job Requirements

• Board Certification: Required
• License Required: yes
• DEA: yes
• Minimum Experience Required: 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
• Graduate from a university program approved by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) - Required
• Or Master's Degree in Nursing - Required
• Certification & Licensures: Certified or certification eligible by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) - Required
• Licensure or eligible for licensing as a Physicians Assistant in the State of Arizona - Required
• ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association) - Required
• OR Graduate from an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program - Required
• Completion of a RN/NP First Assistant Program - Required
• Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license - Required
• Medical Surgical or NP ANCC or AANP Certification - Required

• Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
