As a senior member of Logically AI. Inc's team you will be responsible for business development with U.S. Federal agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of State, and members of the U.S. Intelligence Community. A key component of this position is to understand the needs of the various federal agencies when it comes to issues such as information warfare, influence operations and adversarial cognitive campaigns and position Logically to win business to support such efforts. This will also include working with Logically's data scientists and subject matter experts on artificial intelligence and technology to help clients configure, understand, and use Logically software.
A successful Vice President of Business Development must be able to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous, and entrepreneurial environment. They must inherently take initiative to consistently and constantly identify new ways to create value for clients and generate business opportunities without heavy oversight or guidance.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and product teams to define client projects and needs.
Help clients understand, configure, and use Logically Intelligence, Logically's proprietary open-source intelligence platform.
Generate business opportunities for Logically.
Conduct business development meetings with prospective clients and channel partners.
Engage with clients to understand their missions and requirements in order to position Logically to execute projects and deliverables.
Coordinate with internal product, engineering, and data science teams to translate customer requirements in order to generate insights for clients and inform product development.
Assist with project planning, writing, and execution, including but not limited to developing statements of work, project plans, and bids.
Basic Qualifications:
10 years of relevant experience with either government, prime government contractors, consulting firms and/or NGO organizations related to national security, defense, information warfare, influence, operations, foreign affairs, international development, and other relevant fields.
Considerable experience in a Senior Sales / Business Development position
Experience in creating and delivering Sales strategies
Proficiency in government procurement and contracting.
Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically in policy and/or intelligence style writing and briefings.
Strong initiative and ability to act independently.
Strong interpersonal and client engagement skills.
Experience with technology.
Ability to travel approximately 1-3 times per month.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in bid writing. Knowledge of and experience in national security and defense, and/or international development.
Experience working with and/or for professional services, software-as-as-a-service (SaaS), and/or start-up organizations.
Active U.S. government security clearance.
Proficiency in language(s) other than English.
B.A. in International Relations, National Security, Foreign Affairs, Regional Studies, Political Science and/or related disciplines.
Advanced degree in International Relations, National Security, Foreign Affairs, Regional Studies, Political Science and/or related disciplines.
